PapeReview.com service terms

PapeReview.com, also referred to as PapeReview, provides AI-assisted pre-submission feedback for academic manuscripts. The service may include structured reviewer-style comments, clarity and methodology observations, manuscript improvement suggestions, PDF report exports, dashboard history, and optional AI detection reports.

PapeReview is operated by PT. Hexamind Technology Indonesia. PapeReview is not a journal, publisher, university, legal advisor, or editorial decision maker. Outputs are intended to support manuscript preparation and should be reviewed by the author before use.

Accounts and access

You may need an account to upload manuscripts, purchase credits, access reports, and view history. You are responsible for keeping credentials secure and for all activity under your account. We may restrict access if we detect abuse, fraud, security risk, or violation of these terms.

Manuscript uploads

• Uploads must be PDF files.
• The maximum upload size is 5MB per file.
• You must have the right to upload and process the manuscript and related content.
• You should not upload unlawful, infringing, restricted, or third-party confidential content without permission.

Credits, payment, and AI outputs

Unless stated otherwise, one standard manuscript review uses one credit. Uploading with AI detection may use two credits. Purchased credits are added after payment is confirmed successfully.

Credits are intended for your PapeReview account and may not be resold, transferred, or exchanged for cash unless required by law or expressly approved by us. AI-assisted outputs may contain mistakes or omissions and do not guarantee acceptance by any journal, conference, publisher, reviewer, or institution.

Acceptable use and limitation

You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to bypass security controls, overload infrastructure, submit malware, violate intellectual property rights, or use the service for unlawful activity. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Refunds for review credit purchases

PapeReview.com follows Paddle's refund requirements for payments processed by Paddle. Customers may request a refund within 14 days of purchase, and refund requests will be handled in accordance with Paddle's Buyer Terms, Paddle's Refund Policy, and applicable consumer protection laws.

PapeReview.com does not apply any internal refund rule that limits or reduces refund rights provided by Paddle or mandatory consumer protection law. If a refund is approved, the related credits, reports, or service access may be removed or disabled.

To request a refund, email [email protected] with your account email, order ID, provider reference, package purchased, amount paid, payment date, and a short description of the issue. We aim to review refund requests within 5 business days.

How manuscript and account data are handled

Depending on how you use PapeReview, we may collect account information, uploaded PDF manuscripts, file metadata, titles, generated review outputs, AI detection summaries, payment metadata, dashboard activity, technical logs, and analytics events.

How we use information

We use information to operate PapeReview, process manuscript reviews, provide AI detection reports, maintain account history, process payments, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, improve reliability, and communicate service notices.

Manuscript processing and payments

Uploaded PDFs may be processed by PapeReview infrastructure and AI-assisted workflows to extract text, generate structured feedback, create reports, and perform optional AI detection. Full card details are handled by payment providers, not by PapeReview. We store payment records needed to activate credits, reconcile purchases, prevent duplicate grants, handle refunds, and provide support.

Sharing, retention, and requests

PapeReview is designed around a private local-first database and processing engine for manuscript storage, review generation, and AI detection. We do not sell manuscript files or account information, and we do not distribute uploaded manuscripts to unrelated third parties.

Standard technical data such as IP address, email address, payment metadata, browser logs, and security events may pass through essential providers such as Cloudflare, payment processors, email, analytics, monitoring, or support tools. This is standard internet infrastructure used by modern online services. Manuscript content remains handled through PapeReview's private local-first processing flow. You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or export of information associated with your account.
